John Cougar Mellencamp returns to the Indigo Weekly Top 40 with Paper In Fire. This song is about social inequality and the disparity of wealth in America. The paper in fire represents the dreams that disappear when Americans are hit with the harsh realities that destroy them. Its also about love. Unfortunately, many loves on this planet do not last forever. Love is supposed to last forever, but we let them smoulder like paper in fire. Leaving behind a mess (karma) for ourselves and others. The planet has been left stinking so bad, a call was sent to the Indigos and all starseeds to clean up the planet. So many which are homeless and desperate, when we realize that their injustice becomes our injustice and everybodys elses injustice, the planet and everybodys souls can heal. Until then planet will continue to smoulder and everybodys wealth will disappear, more and more will become homeless and desperate. Paper In Fire is starting to smoulder on the countdown down 10 to #19 this week October 17, 1987.https://youtube/watch?v=myo9wXrNUP4
