John Dryden was a teacher that I did not always agree with, but one who always allowed me to speak my thoughts and engage in dialogue with me. He was truly looking out for the students at Batavia High School. He was what a teacher should be, someone who looks out for his students and wants only to increase their knowledge and understanding. I am honored to have had the opportunity to be taught by him and am saddened that there are people who will not get this opportunity. He is the reason I am studying history right now, and he is the reason I ventured into taking Latin in high school, which was monumental in my high school career. Please pass his message along. It might be long, but it is well worth it.
