John Halaka is a visual artist, documentary filmmaker and professor of Visual Arts at the University of San Diego. An exhibitions of photographs from his series “Portraits of Denial & Desire” will open at the Palestine Center’s Al Quds Gallery, in Washington D.C. on March 21 and run through April 25th, 2014. An exhibitions of Halaka’s drawings from the series “Landscapes of Desire” focusing on destroyed Palestinian villages, was featured at the Arab-American National Museum, in Dearborn Michigan, between August 2013 and January 2014.
