John McCain and Republicans are claiming President Obama snubbed veterans in Phoenix when his motorcade drove past the medical center instead of dropping by. In order for the president to have gone in, the VA hospital would have had to be shut down for security reasons, which would have meant veterans would have needed appointments cancelled. (If he did that anyway, theyd be attacking him for causing appointments to be cancelled for a cheap photo op.) All of this is meant to distract from Congressional Republicans ignoring veterans or using them as pawns to get the Keystone XL pipeline passed.
