Join butterfly enthusiast Cliff Hence at the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge for our Annual Butterfly Count on July 19th at 9am! This is an official citizen science effort to help document the beautiful butterflies that live in the Refuge. Here, youll see more than two dozen butterfly species, including red-banded hairstreak, variegated fritillary, and at least one butterfly from each of the five possible families: swallowtails, whites & yellows, brushfoots, gossamer-wings, and skippers -- have no idea what these are?
