Dear News Editor, Educating Cyclists at Nee Soon South on Responsible Cycling Campaign to educate cyclists to cycle with care and consider others at common areas Cyclists will be educated to cycle responsibly in Nee Soon South precinct. An educational campaign shall be launched on Sunday, 14 December 2014 at 8.45am at Block 802, Yishun Ring Road to inculcate responsible ownership in safe cycling in a clustered environment. Cyclists shall be reminded to avoid common areas to give due consideration to residents. Lift landings on ground level are another potential accident hazard area where cyclists could knock into someone exiting from the lift. Grassroots Adviser Er Dr Lee Bee Wah will join some 200 students, residents and grassroots leaders for a litter picking exercise at Nee Soon South Zone C precinct, to remove possible outdoor mosquito breeding ground and outreach to residents to reinforce the message on dengue prevention awareness. The aim of this exercise is to encourage participation to make Nee Soon South clean, green and a safe environment. Dr Lee Bee Wah will also present a prize token to Nee Soon South Zone C as the winner in the “Nee Soon South Cleanest Block Competition 2014)” where Block 802 has emerged as the champion. Working with all stakeholders, we hope to inspire residents to take ownership of their environment, actively keep their house clean, look out for litter bugs, and work together to keep Nee Soon South Clean, Green, Beautiful and Safe.
