~Join us as a Counselor for Summer School 2014!~ [Please share with your friends!] ISAK is seeking college students or recent graduates who are fluent in English for the counselor position at ISAK Summer School 2014. To be a part of the ISAK project is to help foster mutual understanding among children across cultural and linguistic borders; summer camp just doesnt do it justice.(Comment from past counselor, Brown University 12) As a counselor, you will have a chance to assist with various tasks throughout the program, such as acting as a Teacher Assistant by assisting experienced educators from around the world during academic classes, taking on leadership roles during extracurricular activities, and acting as a Residential Counselor in student dormitories, therefore having a chance to directly interact with students. Almost 100% of past counselors have expressed their interest in returning to Summer School! To this point in my life, I consider my time with ISAK one of the most profound and eye-opening experiences Ive had. As an ISAK counselor, I became aware of the challenges that the international youth years younger than myself have overcome in their lives, and I had the opportunity to help cultivate students hearts and minds in an open, sincere environment.
