Join us at Lambert Castle on Wednesday May 7th as food historian Judith Krall-Russo will be presenting Blueberries: New Jersey’s Wonder Fruit. The blueberry has its roots in the Pinelands of New Jersey. Discover the history of this fascinating berry and the contributions Elizabeth White of Whitesbog made to its cultivation. Learn why the blueberry is touted as the wonder fruit with a host of healthful benefits and hear about the variety of ways to prepare and savor these berries. The program is free of charge and follows a 7pm business meeting of the Historical Society. This program is funded by the Horizon Speakers Bureau of the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
