From the subtle sweetness of orange peel and plum to the peppery bite of fresh ground coriander, the blend of spices creates just the right refreshing kick to signal that spring is on its way. Samueladams NorEaster: Thomas Hooker (Spiced Lager) ABV: 6.0% IBU: 16 Brewed to celebrate Winter in New England, NorEaster Lager possesses a Hearty Malt flavor delicately accented by mild winter spices. Hookerbeer Oatmeal Stout: Mayflower Brewing Co. (Oatmeal Stout) ABV: 6.0% IBU: ~50 Brewed with three types of oats and several varieties of dark barley malts, this beer adds a little sweetness to the roasted flavor of traditional stouts. Mayflowerbrewing Winterfest: Wasatch Brewing Co. (American Strong Ale) ABV: 7.1% IBU: ?? Wasatch Winterfest Seasonal Ale is a rich amber ale with caramel malt flavors and a large hop presence. Brewed with the finest Northwestern pale and caramel malts then generously hopped with Columbus and Amarillo hops. Crafted in the spirit and style of robust winter ales. Wasatchbeers Winter Storm: Heavy Seas Brewing Co. (Imperial Extra Special Bitter) ABV: 7.5% IBU: 50 Winter [Storm] ale draws on hops from the West Coast and the UK for its pronounced bitterness. A mix of pale and darker malts give it its tawny color and its bigger body. True to the style, Winter Storms aroma is nutty malts and earthy hops. This is a perfect fall beer, especially because of its warming qualities. Hsbeer Phantom Punch Winter Stout: Baxter Brewing Co. ABV: 6.8% IBU: ?? [Phantom Punchs] deep black hue and rich tan head compliment the full, but not overly-heavy body. Roasted and toasted malts dominate the flavor, with hints of caramel and strong notes of chocolate. Meanwhile, roasted organic cocoa nibs reinforce the malty chocolate flavors, while real vanilla beans suggest a touch of sweetness without weighing down the brew.
