Jonathan Gruber is an architect of #Obamacare and admits to misleading voters and the CBO. He is now backpedaling, but still defends what the Obama administration did. While backpedaling, he has the nerve to accuse opponents to Obamacare of misleading people: If CBO scores the mandate as taxes, the bill dies. The American voters are too stupid to understand the difference. If you make explicit that healthy people pay in and sick people get money, it would not have passed. Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage. Its a very clever basic exploitation of the lack of economic understanding of the American voter. By 2010, the #Obama administration paid Gruber $400,000 for his expertise and dedicated a webpage to his healthcare analysis Gruber had the nerve to accuse opponents to the law of misleading people: I think that this comes to the master strategy of the Republican party which is to confuse people enough about the law so they dont understand that the subsidies they get are because of the law.
