Jonathan will win Rivers State by a wide margin -Wike Rivers State PDP Governorship Candidate, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan would win Rivers State by an overwhelming margin on his way to get a second term in 2015. The candidate who spoke at Apara Kingdom in Obio/Akpor LGA on Sunday as part of his thank you tour to the area stated that no amount of state resources expended by the outgoing governor, who serves as the APC Presidential Campaign Manager would change the love the people have for Jonathan. He said: “President Jonathan would win Rivers State on February 14, 2015 by a landslide. The PDP candidates for the National Assembly elections will also win in their respective constituencies, setting the stage for our first celebration on February 14 . “All Rivers people should come forward on that day to vote Jonathan and all PDP candidates. After the voting, they will proceed to the Special Valentine centres that we will set up with their lovers to celebrate a President who loves them and has ensured that they benefit from good governance. On February 28, 2015, the second stage of our celebrations will be held across Rivers State after we have defeated the APC and the outgoing governor”. He stated that for most parts of Rivers State, the projects that they know are from the Jonathan administration, since the outgoing governor has invested state resources in fighting needless wars and lately, the sponsorship of the APC Presidential Campaign. Wike outlined schools in all the senatorial districts of Rivers State rehabilitated and reconstructed by the Jonathan administration through UBEC and TETFUND, after the outgoing governor abandoned them to decay. Also speaking, Rivers State PDP Chairman, Bro Felix Obuah stated that Rivers people from all communities have endorsed Barrister Wike as the next governor of Rivers State because of his pedigree of performance. Bro. Obuah noted that the people have also resolved to vote President Jonathan overwhelmingly because of the key projects that he has executed in Rivers State, saying that during the President’s second term, he would consolidate on the gains of his first term. He commended the people of Apara Kingdom for standing behind their son, Barrister Nyesom Wike, whom he said has proved himself as a worthy ambassador deserving of the position of governor. In his remarks, Obio/Akpor LGA PDP Chairman, Mr Chukwuemeka Aaron said that Barrister Wike should always count on the 100 percent support of his kinsmen. The President of Grassroot Development Initiative, Bright Amaehule assured Barrister Wike of the votes of youths and other professionals who are members of the group from the 23 LGAs of the state.
