JonathanandEmily Wilwerding: Atheism will never be a universally excepted belief. In fact, it is all but dead as much as they like to say God is dead. Main stream Christianity has been so foolish to except the premise that the atheist has a more intellectually believable argument. The truth is men know there is a God and they fear him. Not reverentially, mind you, but like the devil their father,they have a certain terrifying apprehension of him. The church in our day has utterly failed to address this fact with the truth of scripture. There is therefor a void to be filled and it will be filled. The question is, with what will it be filled? The answer is yet to be seen but I think Islam is definitely one of the strongest contenders. The Pope and his Catholicism 5.0 is another strong contender, but the real beast I believe will have more than one head. In light of all of this I say it is time to turn to the old gospel which is still the power of God unto salvation.
