Jonathans Kindergarten Speech. I was embarrassingly flabbergasted - TopicsExpress

Jonathans Kindergarten Speech. I was embarrassingly flabbergasted by what I could best described as the worst cacophonous speech ever presented by a purported PhD holder, scholar and university lecturer. After listening to President Jonathans campaign speech today at Ekiti state, tagged; PDP Presidential Campaign Rally, I summarily came to understand why our educational system, albeit, University is in intractable mess, complete shambles and confusion. Its not only disheartening to learn that President Jonathan, while campaigning in Ekiti, was eloquently decimated, grammatically incoherent, but its also academically mortifying to observe the glaring lack of organization, intellectual burden, disorganized speech (regardless of the fact that it was scripted), and sheer recourse to repetitions, tautology, and pupils elementary grammar laden on a lecturer turned President! This prompted my thinking faculty to wonder why Education should not remain the way it is today if a PhD holder could be over stressing himself to utter such falter words. His continued blunder and grammatical stammering left me drenched in a state of despondency for Nigeria. As the president continued to gesticulate helplessly, I was struck by a sharp reminder that after all, many people have and are buying themselves PhD degrees, and into lecturing profession. The capital implications of this are; half-baked graduates, unmarketable products, unemployable crops, and a system consumed by corruption. Then, why blame falling standard of education on students and fresh graduates? How would they be better than their progenitors? How would they offer what they were not given? The last question continues to linger unabated within me. After listening to Jonathan’s childish speech, I came to the conclusion on why his administration has always been characterized by administrative incompetence, bureaucratic sluggishness, moral challenges and intellectual obscenities. I understood why he has been unable to decisively, like an administrator, professional, Commander-In-Chief, make and take any reasonable decision with fundamental impacts. Its even more laughable when, unarguarably, a government that takes a first class honour in corruption and absolutely mired in day robbery pledges that it would fight corruption through the deployment of Information Technology (IT). Mr. President did not stop there, he exaggerated his frenzy self delusion when he mischievously submitted that he would totally eradicate corruption from Nigeria political and economic spaces. The president may have been given a magic wand in Otuoke to fight the monster anyway. A president who would not fight, try and even send indicted and convicted corrupt officials to where they belong; prison. He wants to fight corruption by canonizing them, sending them to schools; Business Schools, Labour Relations Schools, and Schools of Legal and Strategic Studies. He wants to rehabilitate them. Just like he did to Bode George, Umaru Dikko, Alams, Fani-Kayode and a host of others. I have also observed another statement I would consider a platitude, owing to abuses and overused by the presidency, and that is the charade behind fertilizer distributions. How does the presidency utilize IT while distributing fertilizer to rustic people, in the remotest area? Was he always there during the fertilizer distributions? He should come to Enugu, in Nkanu precisely, and see where men and women are still purchasing the purported free fertilizer from government agency. He should go to Kwara, and even Ondo State. The problem of Jonathan is that he remains weak and susceptible to lies from his ministers and foot soldiers. The much speculated agriculture and fertilizer projects are a gross failure embroiled with flagrant mendacity. The presidency has, in a desperate attempt to cover up its failures, employed agricultural propaganda to deceive gullible Nigerians. Its a complete sham! Aside this agricultural scam the president has continued to anchor the rest of his campaign agendas on promises and not on what he had, so for, delivered to the masses over the past six years in office. By implications, Jonathan is indicating that he has failed the people. This, he also admitted recently. Are we to continue to vote base on promises of I will do this, I will do that when past promises remain unfulfilled? Nigerians should decide themselves. To your tent, o Israel! Finally, I will enjoin Mr. President to retire back to his tent in Otuoke after completing his first and last tenure by May or thereabouts. Insisting on contesting February 14 presidential election may spell a height of mortification to his person as he would be kicked out mercilessly by protest votes. God bless Nigeria! #DavidoConcept
