Jonnys Quick Movie Review: Neighbors So, I know it has been a bit since Ive done one of these (and its not like anyone has been asking for them,) but nonetheless heres my take on the movie. Neighbors is a movie that works on two levels; one which I expected, and the other...not so much. The most obvious is the fact that the movie is blindingly funny. For once, the best moments have not been ruined in the trailers and Im not going to ruin any of it here. The whole cast is fantastic, and say what you will about Zac Efron, but the guy kills it in this movie. The less obvious and frankly, the one I didnt see coming, is that at the movies heart is a message about growing up and what that means. On one side of this ridiculous set-up is the couple with a new baby who wish they were still young and party animals: while on the other are seniors in college who look next door and see a possible future. I didnt expect the movie to take that angle, but it gives the film a solid core that makes all that happens all that more meaningful. So yeah, Neighbors is a funny movie. You should totally go see it, but dont be surprised if you walk out of the theater wondering about your own personal story. I never thought a Seth Rogan movie would cause so much introspection. #GoFigure
