Jose Mourinho has reported Andre Schurrleis available for selection ahead of tomorrows game against West Bromwich Albion at Stamford Bridge, but Nathan Akeis out. A decision is still to be made on whether or not Cesc Fabregas plays. Speaking to the media at Cobham, the Portuguese provided an injury update following the recent international break. Schurrle and Fabregas withdrew from their respective national squads, but Mourinho is hopeful both players will be involved tomorrow. Nathan Akeis injured, he hurt his hamstring with the (Dutch) national team and will be out for a few weeks, said Mourinho. Diego Costa is totally recovered, the same as Schurrle. Fabregas trained with the team today but it was a very simple session. We will make a decision and hopefully he can play as it’s an important game. Ramires can play, its a bit like the Liverpool game in that he’s not in very good condition, but he’s improving so he can play. John Mikel Obi, who Mourinho said has played despite being injured in recent weeks, will be assessed at Cobham today having returned from Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers later than the rest of the squad.
