On Face the Nation, the former Secretary of State called out Republican governors for restricting voting rights and making it harder for minorities to cast a ballot. During the March on Washington 50 years ago, voting rights were an integral part of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream. We’ve come a long way – but the fight isn’t over yet. Emboldened by the recent Supreme Court ruling invalidating a key section of the Voting Rights Act, Republicans are pushing even more voting restrictions on the state level – from restricting voting hours and limiting student registration to implementing new ID requirements.
