Josh Harms, State Representative for Illinois 106th legislative district, has withdrawn his name from the ballot for the November 4th, 2014 general election. By Illinois election law, Republican Harms must be replaced on the ballot by a Republican, who will be selected by a committee formed by the five Republican Chairmen in the district. The committee consists of committee chairman John McGlasson, Livingston County; committee secretary Mike Marron, Vermilion County; Shane Cultra, Iroquois County; Matt Smith, Woodford County and Tom Bennett, Ford County. Chairman McGlasson states that the appointment will be filed by August 15, 2014. Applications will be available by emailing the House Republican Organization via hro2014app@gmail . All applications must be returned to the same address by July 19th. The committee will convene on Tuesday, July 22nd to review applications and on Sunday, July 27th to conduct interviews.
