【Joshi-Tabi (女子旅) - Girls’ Travel】 The colour that defines Japanese beauty Museum of Beni in Aoyama, Tokyo is where you can learn and obtain a deeper knowledge of “Beni”, or the luxurious shade of the colour red made out of the Benibana (safflower) petals, which has played a big part in defining Japanese beauty since the Edo period. Here you can learn the various ways Beni was and still being used, view exhibitions of makeup tools, and read historical make-up guidebooks. At one of the exhibition spaces, you can experience painting with Beni and drink Benibana tea at their Tasting Room. While the exhibition is held in Japanese, English leaflets are conveniently available to help you enjoy your experience. #culture #museum #beauty #tokyo #joshitabi #girlstravel Hours: 10am – 6pm (Last entrance 5:30pm) Closed: Mondays and New Years.
