Journal of Learning :) My Journey as God’s instrument I have given 4 weeks to be used as God’s instrument and to spread His words to the children. This experience is something priceless and irreplaceable. As my journey continues, I will be the salt and light of the world to people who have been blinded by the world. My church service in St. Anthony de Padua Parish made me realized many things such as the reason for living, the countless blessings we receive each day and the love of God that has been with us ever since. Moreover, I met different children with different stories in life, and this gave me testimonies that will be useful in walking to the right path. Every smile on every kid symbolizes joy that words can never explain. The stories in the Bible showed us how Joseph and Mary have sacrificed their only Son and when Simeon also offered himself for the Lord. These showed how one is willing to sacrifice oneself for the glory of God. Furthermore, it opened our eyes on how we could be the salt and light of the world. With our small little things and our own ways, we could be God’s instruments. We can be the salt by giving flavor to each and everyone’s life, in the other hand the light that will also shine for the Glory of God and to this world. We will be the light that will overpower the darkness. As weeks passed by, we learned the things that we must not do as God’s children, we must not kill and do harm to other people, we must respect and love our brothers and sisters. As for men, they must not look at women with lust for it shows disrespect. Moreover, one must not use God’s name in vain. We must be true to our promise to one another, specially to God. Sharing the catechism, it didn’t just help those children but also ourselves. As we word hand in hand to be God’s instrument, we see the beautiful things that God has given us, the overflowing blessings and the love for our neighbours. I am so happy to see these children at their young age, use their selves for God. They go to church every Sunday to listen to the Word and they also dance during must. I just pray that everyone will a lot time for the Lord despite their busy schedules in life.
