Journalism is printing what someone else does not want printed; everything else is public relations. Saw this on Facebook yesterday and liked it, thought I would repost: It is attributed to George Orwell. But Id be surprised if Orwell actually said it, and heres why: My Dad was a newspaperman of Orwells generation, more or less, and those terms would not have fallen easily from his lips. He would have called journalism news and a PR person was a press agent. I know thats not even close to being proof, but it makes me suspicious.
