Journalist and activist Will Parrish’s trial in connection with his arrests for protesting and reporting on the Caltrans Willits Bypass is being delayed until January 27th, the judge in the case ruled today. The delay is due to the delayed release of what Parrish’s attorney, Omar Figueroa, described as voluminous California Highway Patrol and Caltrans documents related to Parrish’s arrests. Neither the defense nor the prosecution had been able to review the documents in question in time for Parrish’s Motion in Limine hearing today, which is supposed to be a final chance to eliminate evidence before the trial.
