Journey Update! Capers and I went to Columbia today (Thursday 8/21) to see my Lung Dr. This was at MY request since the meds that he put me on 2 months ago we not working all day without using my rescue inhaler every 2 hour or so. I went to see what other plan of action I might could try. I am staying on the 2 Long-lasting inhalers but now adding back my nebulizer every 4 hours. Just so happened that my Dr (who came in just as Capers and I were about to leave- we saw a WONDEFUL-LOVING and CARING Nurse Practioner named Amy) She was able to consult with him on my current condition and he came into the room and told me that he wanted me to see ANOTHER oncologist in Columbia and that ths Oncologist was going to se me NOW! TODAY! He told me that the tumor had grown (that I knew from the July CAT Scan) but he had near fear in his voice. He knew that I was very concerned with the pain that I have in my left kidney and spleen area and he said that is because the cancer has spread! I thought that this meant the tumor was larger- I was to find out later that afternoon at the NEW Oncologist the rest of the story. Here goes!! There were TWO NEW BIG pieces to my story that I found out TODAY! 1. I was told that the cancer was IN MY SPEEN and that was why I was hurting! 2. He also told Capers and I that this type of cancer WAS NOT CUREABLE! I find it miraculous that Capers and I remained so calm! Indeed it was the Lords presence with us! My situation is now definately more DIRE that I even knew. I did know that SOMETHING was wrong with the pain in the spleen and kidney area but I more dissapointed that I have had to see FOUR doctors to get to the bottom of this and WHY my (former) Oncologist failed to digilantly read the CAT Scan report that even I saw and felt that there had to be an issue there and according to the Radiologist report NEEDED to be FOLLOWED UP ON Never thought that I would be the one following up on it myself. All this is VERY exhausting when it is all you can do to take care of yourself- not take care the duties of the Professionals. I am also very concerned that my (former) oncologist did NOT take my pain issues seriously. According to the New Oncologist the findings of CANCER in the SPLEEN is written in plain sight on the report! That is all all for now! Just want you all to know that I IN NO WAY am taking this diagnosis as a DEATH SENTENCE! I intend to do ALL I know to do with Meds- No SUGAR- Low Carbs- Lotta veggies- some Fruit - and some new HIGHLY Nutrious Juices that I am starting as soon as they come in the mail! I totally expect this CANCER to bow its knee to MY Lord that MADE me- who GAVE me HIS GRACE- and gave me MANY chances to FINALLY GET IT! Now that we have the WHOLE story I can pray and thank God for leading me into ALL truth. I Plan to be VICTORIOUS with all that I can do and I will leave EVERYTHING else up to MY Lord and SAVIOR Jesus!! Thanks all for your continued prayers and correspondences to Capers and I.
