Ambassador Sichan Siv served as a U.S. ambassador to the United Nations from 2001 from 2006, and as a deputy assistant to the president for public liaison and deputy assistant secretary of state for South Asia from 1989 to 1993. He holds a Masters of International Affairs from Columbia University. #SichanSiv is the author of the bestselling memoir Golden Bones: An Extraordinary Journey from Hell in Cambodia to a New Life in America and recently published fiction Golden State: Love and Conflict in Hostile Lands. Ambassador Siv and his wife, Martha spent their honey moon in Santa Fe. They currently divide their time between New York, Texas and beyond.
