Joyce Davis Tucker Funeral services for Joyce Davis Tucker will be held Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Grove Church in the Martin Community with Reverend Tommy Espey and Reverend Kyle Naylor officiating. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Tucker, age 78, of Martin, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 at Anderson Regional Medical Center peacefully with her family by her side. Mrs. Tucker was born June 26, 1936 to Leo Davis and Mabel Davis Long. Joyce was an avid seamstress and gardener. She was a kindergarten teacher in the Collinsville area for many years and was an active 4-H youth leader. She was a lifelong member of Pine Grove Church and was the present Sunday School teacher for the Senior Ladys Sunday School Class. Joyce was a dedicated Mississippi State and Atlanta Braves fan. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Steve Tucker; children, Keith Tucker, Daryl (Julia) Tucker, Shari (Kenny) Veazey, and Jeri (Lynn) Phillips; grandchildren, Jamie (Linda) Tucker, Matt (Jennifer) Tucker, and Drew Phillips; great-grandchildren, Sky (Nicole) Tucker, Halli Joyce Tucker, Taylor Ketchens, and Zoey Tucker; great-great-grandchild, Addison Tucker; brother, James Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her infant daughter, Kathy Tucker; parents, Leo Davis and Mabel Davis Long; step-father, Kinion Long; and brother, Hulon Davis. The family request memorials be made to Gideons International or the Pine Grove Mission Fund. The pallbearers will be Jamie Tucker, Matt Tucker, Drew Phillips, Sky Tucker, Alan Cross, and Tony Herrington. Honorary pallbearers will be the Elders and Deacons of Pine Grove Church. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at robertbarhamffh. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home and Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 10:30-11:00 a.m. at Pine Grove Church.
