Judge Chali Was Unfair on Sata Rights activist Brebner Changala says if the courts of law had been fair with his call for a medical board to examine the fitness of demised President Michael Sata the death may have been prevented. Changala had on several attempts gone to court to compel cabinet to constitute a medical board to examine the fitness of President Sata but on more than three accounts his pleas were thrown out. Judge Isaac Chali notoriously threw out the attempts on more than one account supposedly for fear of reprisals from the state. Changala whose case is still active in court said he will now withdraw it as it had been overtaken by events. “I will just withdraw the case from court now since it will just become an academic exercise. But if the courts had been fair and listened this death may not have shocked anyone because the truth would have been known. It is a great shame that things had to come to this,” he said. Calls for a medical board were fiercely resisted by the courts of law in collusion with the ruling party. zambiareports/2014/10/30/judge-chali-unfair-sata/
