Judge Judy makes it clear. You adopt a dog, you take responsibility. Sheriff Judd, please stop worrying about liability and treat the animals in your care as individuals. Killing them because they have big mouths, could potentially cause damage, have a square head, a brindle patch......are Pit Bulls, Rotties, Akitas, chows and everything in between that you consider mixed with these breeds-------WRONG WRONG WRONG! You wont be sued. These breeds are LEGAL. PLEASE REMOVE YOUR MANDATE that they all die unless rescue steps in. No one can save 85% of your dog population. Please.... JUDGE JUDY 11/20/2013 Man and woman adopt Doberman from the pound. Doberman attacks their small dog. Female sues pound. JUDGE JUDY: did you know you were adopting a big dog? Did you know anything at all about his history? What do you expect from them? YOU chose that dog. EVEN IF YOU WERE HERE SAYING THAT DOG ATTACKED A CHILD, ITS ON YOU NOT THEM. They have nothing to do with this. You could get sued IF YOUR dog were to attack, but you certainly cant fault the shelter. You chose the dog. CASE DISMISSED
