“Judge not” (Matt 7:1) but “REPROVE, REBUKE, EXHORT with all longsuffering and doctrine” (2 Tim.4:2); “Wherefore REBUKE THEM SHARPLY, that they may be sound in the faith” (Tit1:13); “These things speak, and EXHORT, AND REBUKE WITH ALL AUTHORITY. Let no man despise thee” (Tit 2:15). “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and IS PROFITABLE FOR DOCTRINE, FOR REPROOF, FOR CORRECTION, FOR INSTRUCTION IN RIGHTEOUSNESS: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works”. 2 Tim. 3:16. It is necessary therefore, to have a BALANCED UNDERSTANDING of the Word of God. Many ignorant “Christians” may want to run away with the Word of Christ, which says, “Judge not”, but you need to understand that there is a DIFFERENCE between judging and correcting. DON’T QUOTE “Judge not” to support your sinfulness, unrighteousness or prevent others from correcting or rebuking you for what you have done wrong. Don’t corrupt the Word of God or quote it to silence people who are trying to put you in the right way. 2 Cor 2:17. PLEASE UNDERSTAND: • Calling people to repentance is not judgment; • Judge not does not mean patting the sinner on the back for sins committed; • Rebuking one another for wrong done, is not judging; • Checking up on one another’s spiritual health, is not judging; • Calling back backsliders and the Worldly minded, is not judgement; • Correcting people and warning them to avoid error, is not judging; • Teaching and edifying one another, is not judging; • Helping people to focus on Heaven and righteousness, is not judging; • Exposing wrongdoing, is not judging. So, from today, “brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted”. Gal 6:1. The Lord will help you to obey His Word.
