Julian was trying to run from the camera, but I caught him anyway! - TopicsExpress

Julian was trying to run from the camera, but I caught him anyway! :) Today was the Exit conference for Julians pre-BMT work up, as well as a meeting with the pharmacist. This is the time when they share the minute details of the procedure, discuss risks, and I had to sign consents. The meeting was terrifying to say the least! I remember being very afraid for him when he was first diagnosed and going through treatment, but that pales in comparison to this! I really dont feel that it is useful to share the details of everything that could possibly go wrong, so instead, I will share the things that I know for sure: 1. This is Julians BEST chance for a cure. 2. He is being treated at the BEST place in the world for this particular procedure. 3. We already know that chemo alone will NOT cure Julian. 4. Julian is going to be sick, and there may be times during which he is going to be very, very sick. 5. Julian is a strong little guy, and we have every reason to believe that he will do well. 6.Julian has amazing support. 7.Julian is starting with the best possible circumstances (all of his tests were good, and he had 0% MRD). All of the rest, we surrender to the Lord. We plan to enjoy this weekend--the last one that we will have together for a while. I wish you all a wonderful weekend as well! #Surrender #RemissionTransplantCure The Andrews
