July 13, 2013 Then said Boaz unto Ruth, Hearest thou not, my daughter? Go not to glean in another field, neither go from hence, but abide here fast by my maidens: Ruth 2:8 And Boaz immediately began to take responsibility of Ruth. He spoke gently to her thus: Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the young men that they shall not touch thee? and when thou art athirst, go unto the vessels, and drink of that which the young men have drawn. Ruth 2:9 Boaz was a good man. And good things are reserved for the good: ¶ Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession. Proverbs 28:10 And Ruth was more than a good possession; but Boaz was careful to do the right thing. Naomi her mother in law was both a wise and loving woman. She wanted to ensure that Ruth settled successfully in the land of Judah. And she went about it the right way: 1 ¶ Then Naomi her mother in law said unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee? 2 And now is not Boaz of our kindred, with whose maidens thou wast? Behold, he winnoweth barley to night in the threshingfloor. 3 Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the floor: but make not thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking. Ruth 3:1-3 What followed? Page 6 of chapter eight of the book; WHEN MAN PETITIONED GOD.
