July 24, 2013 at 1:18PM If Kristen Stewart can lose her job, risk losing her entire career, fanbase, and respect over cheating on her boyfriend, the fact that Chris Brown is still acknowledged and celebrated is a crime. If you want a prime example of women’s inequality in the media, there it is. Except Kristen Stewart didn’t lose her job or her career or her fanbase and she didn’t just “cheat on her boyfriend," she had a relationship with a man who she knew was married after befriending his wife & 2 young children. She had tons of people running to her defense and making excuses for her in the media, blaming her bad choices on the pressures of stardom, her age (22), the patriarchy, even blaming Rob for not being there for her. Fans immediately started making support videos and pledging their undying love for her, and coming up with convoluted conspiracy theories on why her affair with Rupert Sanders never happened- it was photoshopped or just a publicity stunt gone wrong, because “she wouldn’t do something like that." AFAIK most people still think of Chris Brown as an abusive boyfriend & bring up the Rihanna incident whenever his name is mentioned. (via asap-dijah)
