July 26, 1814 War Claim #523 Claim of Clark and Street Burning of Bridgewater by American forces That the First Mill at Bridgewater had 3 sets of Stones. The Saw Mill had 20 saws. That the First Mill was three stories high and could make l00 barrels of flour per day. The ye Iron Works were not received, that the repair to each Mill additional building, etc. cut the year before, about 3000 pounds. Clark & Street of Stamford claim for the loss which they have sustained by the destruction of the Bridgewater works which were burnt by the Army of the Enemy under the command of General Brown on the 26th day of July, 1814.
