July 26th, August 2nd, August 9th We are encouraging the community to meet us at Rouge Park for a time of family picnic. We encourage, “bring your reunions, and bring your friends, co-workers, and bbq as we Joy Ride across #WestDETROiT.” To ensure a grand kick-off, on July 26th the Cody Alumni Association will be supporting us at Stein Park as well. The event is scheduled to begin at 6PM each day (although we encourage that families arrive early to picnic). Immediately at 6PM we will begin registration for the ride. Registration is simply for logistical purposes. Also at registration we will be accepting donations to support the work at Cody High School with the Life Remodeled Project. At 7PM we will announce the kick off, and a collection of 1000+ cyclists from throughout the #WestDETROiT community ride down W. Chicago to Angie’s Party Store at Ohio St. and Joy Rd. then back onto W. Chicago to head back to our supporting cast at Rouge Park, the entire community of #WestDETROiT, or most of us anyway.
