July 4, 2014 Yesterday I miss spoke when I used the term comfortable lead. There is a revitalized player in this game. Franklin Gardens is a project quite similar to ours. In one day they have generated over 300 votes to take the lead by 14 votes. We need a new effort to build votes. Please pass this on to all your friends. Make it personal and tell them how important this grant is to our program. What I have learned in my attempt to get the word out is that emailing it to individual accounts and sharing directly on the pages of your FACEBOOK friends gets the most attention. This needs to be a community wide event. Send it to your church, your school, your government officials and any other organization that is involved in social justice matters. We can do this and we can also make a difference in the community and the lives of those we serve. If you have a portable computer or other device, please take it with you and show the entry to those you meet. Ask them to register and have them vote at that moment. Today is big day for the gathering of friends and families. Think about how quickly we could generate 300, 500 or 1000 votes at these events. We receive more than 100 votes a day so if everyone contacted 10 people today we could generate more votes in one day than our total count right now. So today, celebrate our freedom and celebrate that we are a nation that cares about o right to votes.
