July report SECOND MONTHS PROGRESS REPORT Well another month is behind us, which means I should be a step closer to my goals, and I am. Even with 5 or six cheat days (food wise) I am still losing weight and I have stayed true to both the Whole body Vibration machine and Aqua therapy. So all in all I’m quite chuffed with myself. As most of you know it was my birthday last Tuesday and I got this fantastic yoga series as a gift and by adding it to my daily routine I am expecting big things. The one thing I said I would do last month and did not, was find and sign up for a Personal Trainer exercise program. So I will be sure to find and join in a couple of weeks. It is my intention to ramp up my eating habits and progress through as many of the Wahls protocols as possible. Because I need to get my food consumption up to the same level as my exercising. Last month I also completely removed all sugar for 21days and I intend doing the same again this month. I am also seriously considering finding a super healthy meal replacement shake and a cleansing system to add to my daily schedule, I have a couple in minds but a little more research is needed. This week started OK, but by Wednesday it had all but fallen apart. I wanted to align myself with one off the largest MS organization and with their help raise lots of money for MS. Even though they were very nice about it they said they could not help or promote me for either the getting into shape part or the journey across America part. However they said they would gladly take any and all monies raised. So needless to say that kind of blew the wind out of my sails, you see I was hoping for support, I was hoping to be in one of their MS magazines and do joint fundraising when and before I got to their towns where they have locations. I thought, by having this MS organization behind me I’d find more volunteers, we together would raise more money and together we would hit a homerun for MS. Also, having this organization alongside me would have given the project more credibility and when I was looking for sponsors it would be way easier as they would have existing relationships with many of them. This now puts me at my first major crossroad, what should I do, who (which MS organization) should I do this for? If this MS has taught me anything, it’s we don’t do easy! So as you can imagine this was quite a punch in the gut, and therefore Wednesday and Thursday were not particularly good days. Now I am always telling people tomorrows another day and by the time Friday rolled round the bad news and disappointment was clearly in the rearview mirror and we were back on course. It turns out I am doing two interviews next week, one of these is with a major manufacturer of mobility assistive equipment and they want me to be on their blog. Then, I will be having a phone appointment with a lady who ran across America to raise awareness for MS and now has an annual relay race across the country, all for MS. I am sure she will be able to help point me in the right direction; I am really looking forward to next week. On to the next subject our likes, I must admit I was obviously a little optimistic as far as how quick we would grow. I wanted us to grow from 1000 likes to 2000 however by the 28th of the month we were not even 1100, so based on that the sudden surge in our likes to 1300 is fantastic. All and all we have had a good July, I found a very interesting addition I intend to implement in August, a video diary or in our case a video blog. Also I have purchased a domain name and am currently building our web site so this time next month I am expecting us to be far ahead of where we are today. Now let me put my “help us grow” hat back on and say, please share this with everyone you know, they don’t have to have MS just know someone affected by it. It is my goal to get as many new Likes as possible and the only way that will happen is with your help. Here is the link to my page: https://facebook/pages/Robins-MS-journey/417425851693498?ref_type=bookmark Thanks again every one of you, because of you I am on fire to do this. Oh, before I forget, my lovely wife came up with a slogan for our journey. Fight, Faith & Finish So let us fight everyday and never give up, have faith that we will persevere and a cure will be found and let’s push ourselves to finish no matter what. Remember, things are only impossible until they are achieved! Robin
