July sees some serious shuffling of positions and numbers in Automotive industry: while in four wheelers, Maruti maintained its leadership position with 90,093 cars dispatched to dealerships, Hyundai also stuck to its Number 2 position with 29,260 vehicles. from hereon, there was serious action as Honda overtook Mahindra to clinch Third place and dispatched 15,709 vehicles out of its factories. Mahindra had to make do with fourth position while moving out 14,708 UV/Cars from its plants. Toyota was at fifth position with 13,837 numbers while on sixth place, Tata Motors is out of the Top 5 club with 9,167 sales though things are expected to change for the Home grown company with the launch of the Zest and Bolt. Ford managed to dispatch 7,592 vehicles and secured seventh place. In Two wheelers, Hero is still the market leader but Honda is fast catching up. While Hero billed 5,84,137 two wheelers, Honda sent 3,98,831 two wheelers out of its factories. With 2,07,333 Bajaj was a distant third and is losing its MS for last 6 months. Yamaha witnessed handsome growth and billed 50,286. Mahindra two wheelers is also in overdrive mode with its Centuro doing good numbers. the sales tally for them stood at 13,331.
