June 25 Do you know HIM? Go to church once a week and nobody pays attention. Worship God seven days a week and you become strange!~~A.W. Tozer Are you considered strange now? When your life changes because you had an encounter with the Lord and you are no longer just going to church one day a week Christians, people will watch your lives with eyes of scrutiny! There will be many times in our life when we must live and say and declare what we preach while going through the storms of this life. There will always be onlookers watching how we will react to them. Are we ready to really turn our eyes upward to the Lord or will we fall and crumble at our circumstances in life that are trying to bring us down. Job was tested far beyond many people and there were people like Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar who were trying to debate him concerning his trust in this God. These three men were telling Job that these trials he was enduring was because of sin and were punishments from his God but Job finally said, “No”. Through all the debate and hard times of trials Job finally heard the voice of the Lord and he knew that he had finally found peace and trust in his God. Job was not a one hours a week Christian. We must all be ready to know deep down in our spirits that we serve a loving, compassionate, and merciful God who is good no matter what the world says to us. I can remember when I use to just go to church for one hour and that was it. I can say that at that time I really didn’t know the Lord. But now I realize we are to surrender our life to Him and that surrender brings Him into every detail and moment of our lives. People and the demons do not care if we go to church on Sunday. They only care if we bring church to them on a Monday through Saturday. What kind of Christian are you? Job 4: 1- 6 (NLT) Then Eliphaz the Temanite replied to Job: “Will you be patient and let me say a word? For who could keep from speaking out? “In the past you have encouraged many people; you have strengthened those who were weak. Your words have supported those who were falling; you encouraged those with shaky knees. But now when trouble strikes, you lose heart. You are terrified when it touches you. Doesn’t your reverence for God give you confidence? Doesn’t your life of integrity give you hope?
