June is here and that means Jake turns 15 and gets his permit. A part of me is very excited about eventually being able to use him as my personal errand boy, and a part of me is terrified to think about him driving around with all of the non-signaling, non-thinking, careless people in the world. The other night we started tossing around some ideas about possible transportation for him. My first choice is a government issued tank, but I dont have any Fort Bragg connections so I had to back off of that and suggest the next best thing..... Me: How about an older used Tahoe? Jake: What exactly is it about me, Rhonda, that you think says upper-middle class, middle-aged, stay-at-home, soccer mom? So, if anyone has access to a tank or one of those 1970s station wagons that were made of 3 inch thick titanium grade steel, give me a shout.
