June was a very busy month for us at Steps for Peace: We conducted two training courses on "Do No Harm and Reflecting on Peace Practice" and "Training of Trainers in Peacebuilding“. The Do No Harm Framework is an instrument for analyzing the impacts of assistance on conflict and has proved to be successful for peace- and conflict-sensitive humanitarian aid project work, and also in development cooperation in a conflict context. Reflecting on Peace Practice refers to analytical instruments that enable an efficient assessment of international peace-related projects. The Training of Trainers in Peacebuilding is based on familiarising participants with training expertise for culturally adapted and sustainable learning processes in crisis regions. We enjoyed working with groups of very talented and diverse people. The trainings were enriched by the experiences of participants – who work in the most varied regions and settings. The participants left very motivated to introduce and implement the new instruments they had learned and many new ideas in their projects.
