The Junior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the everyday finance aspects of the department and will perform daily, weekly and monthly processes within strict timeframes. Responsibilities: • Processing supplier invoices and credit notes in local and foreign currency. • Managing the payment run process ensuring the correct and timely authorization of invoices • Managing queries and statement reconciliation. • Key contact for suppliers. • Processing of staff and credit card expenses claims • Daily sales and receivables reconciliation • Bank reconciliation • Petty cash reconciliation • Performing month-end duties: Balance sheet reconciliations, processing journals, year-end audit and other tasks as required. • Intrastat reporting • General record keeping • Assisting Credit Analyst in the credit control function Knowledge, skills and experience: • Must be IT literate • Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous • Accounts payable/ receivable and general ledger experience • Be able to work to deadlines and able to multi-task, being tenacious enough to see tasks through to completion • Have good attention to detail, be conscientious and thorough with good problem solving ability • Have good interpersonal skills and be able to deal with internal and external contacts by telephone/ email • Excellent time management
