Junior Payroll Controller The Job Box - Bedfordview, Gauteng Contract Job Description: To ensure the provision of an effective departmental payroll service within the Company, ensuring that the payroll system is managed effectively, timely and within the required deadlines enabling the most favourable outcome for all parties Due date for applications: 19 September 2014 Key performance areas: Create personnel files and maintain filing system for the departmental payroll Capturing of new employees on VIP system Capture new employees on the Event system Reconcile employee hours on Excel spreadsheet to enter into VIP System for accurate payment Process hours worked for reserves on VIP system for payment Process leave, overtime & travelling allowances Capture and maintain WorkDay system on all processes relating to Interactions and reserves employees Balance departmental payroll on Excel spreadsheet Capture and balance Stannic report with VIP Smart Capture Extended family funeral benefits. Assist Payroll Data Administrator with permanent and casuals queries Assist with confirmation of salary and employment (when necessary) Handle departmental related payroll queries Administration of Garnishees, including liaising with Attorneys and handling queries Assist with printing, folding and distribution of monthly pay slips. Criteria: Grade 12 essential Proficiency in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail & Internet) is required Driver’s license and own transport will be advantageous Mathematical skills Excellent telephone etiquette Good communication skills, both verbal and written A good command of the English language High level of attention to detail Good planning and organizational skills Strong interpersonal and relationship skills Job Environment: Our Company is the worlds leading Private Brand Broker and Consumer Events expert.
