On 05-31-14, Hernando County deputies received complaints in regards to a male caller making calls to various citizens in Hernando County in an attempt to scam money from them. The male caller identified himself as Lieutenant John Martin from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office. He advised the citizen/victim that someone in the household was going to be held in contempt of court for not complying with a grand jury summons and that a bench warrant would be issued.
