Just 2 potential members away from 300!!! I remember all those years ago when it was just a handful of us meeting at the Sangaree Branch of the Library in Summerville, SC. We were the Charleston Area Star Trek Fan Club back then. Remember Mel and Dondi? I was so happy just to meet with fellow Trekkies and we would talk about our experiences and love of Star Trek and other Sci Fi properties. Wed screen an episode or two and Id hand out newsletters. I think we even had snacks sometimes. lol Since then, weve hosted theatrical screening events. And with you guys support I was able to expand our mission by segueing into charitable endeavors to include cancer awareness events with sponsors. We even had two of our members get ENGAGEd at the Best of Both Worlds event. Talk about creating a family!!! We are more than just a group of Sci Fi nerds. Were a great bunch of intelligent, fun loving, giving SciFi fanatics trying to effect positive changes within our respective local communities. Not only am I proud of the work weve done, I am grateful to have met and/or engaged with each and every one of you. Thank you so much for being part of one of the best fan groups on social media. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!
