The area, having a popular waterfall Alakapuri and many peaks, including Kanmadappara, Sasippara, Kaimuttippara and Hanumanpara, has become a preferred destination of local sightseers. The journey to Kanjirakkolli begins with a bumpy drive from the foot of the hill. Passing through thick bushes and lush greenery, a climb up the winding road leads to various peaks at different locales. A slippery narrow pathway to the Alakapuri waterfall about 350 metres from the road has been handed over by a local person for development of the walkway. A trek to the top of the hill leads to small eateries in bamboo and areca palm shelters. A private bamboo cottage is situated near Sasippara, suitable for a small cluster of tourists for an overnight stay.
