Just 4 weeks to go until the closing date for entry to the Christchurch Volunteer of the Year Award! So if you know someone who does a wonderful voluntary job, be sure to nominate them in time. Our new annual competition aims to raise the profile of volunteering in Christchurch and to recognise the invaluable contribution to the community that is made by all volunteers. It does not matter how they volunteer, or where they volunteer in the Borough of Christchurch and Highcliffe: it may be someone who looks after an elderly neighbour throughout the week; or volunteers at a local tourist attraction like Highcliffe Castle; or who works in an unpaid capacity for a local charity. The closing date is September 20th and the winner will be announced on October 23rd at the Volunteer Forum. Entry forms are available on CCP’s website at christchurchcommunitypartnership.org.uk/events/ The trophy is sponsored by Waitrose Christchurch, who have also kindly donated £50 worth of vouchers to be used in their store.
