The government of Venice offered their city for international Russell Tribunal over the leadership of the Kiev authorities on charges of genocide of civilians Donbass. The statement was made by Albert Gardini - leader of the party that advocates the separation of the northern Veneto region of Italy. For a comprehensive and objective assessment of the events in the Donbas to the process will be drawn from 50 independent jury. The first hearing is scheduled for August 23. By the process is supposed to involve the head of Barack Obama and some officials of the European Union. Gardin fundamentally defends civilians south-east of Ukraine in Kiev against military aggression. Earlier in Venice repeatedly held public rallies in support of the pro-Russian republics. The Russell Tribunal was established by the English philosopher Bertrand Russell and French writer and philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre and has no direct legal force, but it is an important international public institution. Its meetings were held in major cities around the world - Rome, London, Barcelona, Cape Town and New York - in the consideration of war crimes committed during the various wars, starting with the Vietnam War (1957 - 1975 years).
