Just a REMINDER... Dont forget that Alabama was allocated over $3 BILLION in Federal Stimulus Funds in 2009 (That WAS an Obama thing), and it saved this state BUTT during those two years, delaying layoffs and helping with projects large and small throughout the state. You can bet your butt that when a road was repaired or a stimulus-funded project was started, if it was in a GOP district - not ONE WORD was probably mentioned about the Obama-funds that financed it, and that politician would be there for the PR for sure!! After the stimulus money was gone (they wept), remember all of the teachers and other public workers who were laid off in 2011 and later. The GOP WONT ADMIT that the BIG problem for the Budget in AL is REVENUE and they refuse to address the REGRESSIVE tax burden and make higher income (and businesses) pay a higher share, and change the property tax structure. blog.al/breaking/2010/08/economist_stimulus_money_saved.html
