Just a few updates on Xander for those interested. We took him to the vet today for a physical. He was negative for heart worm, but has a yeast infection in his right ear and a rash on his scrotum. We have meds for both, and can start his heartgard prevention. He has a cyst on his shoulder blade which we will get removed when he is neutered next week (sorry buddy). We then took him to The Canine Scrub for his Freedom Bath and followed it up by introducing him to our family. So far all is well. Cocoa is doing better every day, but it will be a few more days before we can start a face-to-face introduction. Thank you to everyone for your encouragement, love, and support!
