Just a little email to sea world! Caj! To who it may concern I am a welfare and behaviour student and would like to get In contact with you about how you deal with the welfare of your animals. I was descusted when I saw a program about you today on BBC one. How could you try to cover up everything that has happened and lie about how a trainer lost her life, without her to be able to even defend herself. And the fact that you Breed from an animal that you know has had aggressive tendencies. The fact that they are being kept in concrete pools for most of their lives is bad enough as it is and the lies about how long they live and about their fins. As an animal student I know that whales have the ability to live as Long as humans and only 1% of wild whales have collapsed fins. And lastly you should have never split up family groupings just to try and save your shows. This clearly affected the mother which could have major impacts on both her and the trainers. I would like to know why you believe all of this is ok and if you are actually going to change everything to put the animals welfare needs first over the money in your pockets.
