Just a note, particularly for attorney friends specializing in contract law. In 2010, the WordPress Bible: 2nd Edition was released. It did not sell all that well because, I think, it came too soon after 1st edition. 1E sold awesome. 2E was written for WordPress 3.1 and was updated primarily in the area of Multisite (remember, 3.0 was when The Merge of WordPress and WordPress MU occurred). WordPress 4.1 was released yesterday. Thats 10 versions and 4 years. I sent an email to Wiley earlier in the week asking for their intentions... Do you want the WordPress Bible: 3rd Edition? If not, release me from my exclusivity agreement whereas I, as a WordPress professional and published author, cannot write another book for another publishing company on WordPress. I cant even self-publish. This was a rookie mistake agreeing to these terms. But now I want to write. I want to update *my* book. Mine. I want to make it relevant. I want it to translate to new business as it did in 2009 when 1E was released and 2010 when 2E was released. But I have an exclusivity clause and the company I agreed to exclusivity with is non-responsive. So any contract attorneys want to represent me?
