Just a quick update from the public meeting with FWC in Vero Beach Florida. Approximately 75 people were in attendance ( lots new and old faces in the lot) FWCs Richard Moore provided about 15 min. of historical background, then FWCs Garry Klein provided a 15 min. summary of how to fill out a 6 page 7 concept questioner in the last 15 min. of the public hearing, then the middle of the public hearing was filled with 35 people from the audience who were given 3 min. each to speak their concerns. All but 2 spoke in opposition to providing additional anchoring restrictions. Today FWC has a second public hearing on the west coast of Florida in Bradenton. The questioner utilizes some of the concepts used in the SSCA survey. FWC says they will use there questioner from the public hearings to develop a Florida survey which will be sent out to the public at large for their input. Comments on the survey draft via their questioner will be accepted for 1 week. We will get a copy of the questioner fat fingered into a document for you to provide your comments on the draft directly to FWC thus giving you more bites at the apple.
